Our Prayer Chain takes the admonition to "pray for one another" (Jas. 5:16) seriously. A phone call to our pastor (683-4460), cell (573-887-1435) or office (683-4460) mobilizes our prayer chain into action.
Singing and music are an essential part of Christian worship in New Testament times. It is still essential in worship services today. Our music program shows depth of talent and broad variety of music enjoyed by everyone who attends our services. Music of all styles, contemporary to traditional to classical, is included in our Sunday morning services.
A formal robed choir practices every Wednesday evening and performs weekly anthems and seasonal cantatas. A special feature of our church is our fine pipe organ. The first one in Douglas County. It took thousands of hours for volunteers to move and install the organ with its 1180 pipes. The organ's dedication occurred in October 1994.
Every fifth Sunday night we have a Song Fest where we invite anyone interested in performing to come forth and share their tallents.

Adult classes consists of Men, Becomers, and Pastor-led Adults (Fifth grade through adult).
Each summer for one week our church is the site of Vacation Bible School open to children preschool through grade 4. While the experience is fun and interesting, it is also a time of learning. Many of the children are from outside our congregation. Some have no other regular church exposure. Our adult leaders and teachers are dedicated to reaching out to the next generation in Jesus' name. They work hard so that Vacation Bible School is a positive experience for the children.
This is an outreach ministry that brings a worship service and communion to the residents of our nursing home. In rotation with other churches, our Pastor and some of our members bring songs, testamonies, and memories to those who are no longer able to get out on their own. Just a smile, a word of encouragement, a touch of the hand can bring a ray of sunshine to someone in need of God's love.
The first Sunday of every month is designated as Food Harvest Sunday and is celebrated by bringing food donations for our local food pantry.
